Real Estate Forester
Doug leads real estate activities on about 340,000 acres of company lands in the Inland Northwest Region. His team’s areas of responsibility are timberland acquisition and real estate sales. In addition to real estate, Doug has worked in private woodlands and industrial forest management roles at Stimson and of all his accomplishments in over 18 years for the company, he is most proud of habitat restoration work completed under Washington’s RMAP program which improved water quality and reopened miles of habitat to native fish.
For the last 10 years, Doug has been active in local government as a member of the Pend Oreille County (WA) Planning Commission and also sits on the county’s Strategic Lands Committee. Doug holds a BS in Forest Management from Oregon State University as well as a MBA from the University of Phoenix.
